Who We Are
Workforce Fatigue Management was founded by Dr. Sylvia Loh to empower businesses to manage fatigue risks specific to their industry and in compliance with their WHS legal obligations and industry requirements.
Dr. Sylvia Loh
With over 20 years of expertise in Human Factors specialising in worker fatigue, Sylvia is a recognised leader in developing and implementing Fatigue Risk Management Systems across the transport industry. Her work in aviation, port operations and rail has helped organisations build safer, more efficient, and more resilient operations.
An experienced Human Factors investigator and strategic thinker, Sylvia has led and contributed to investigations with the Australian Transport Safety Bureau, Qantas, and the Tasmania Ports Authority. She has also led Safety Management Systems audits, supporting both private and government sectors to improve safety performance and compliance with ISO45001 and industry standards.
A PhD graduate from the University of South Australia’s Centre for Sleep Research, Sylvia’s research examined sleep, fatigue, and performance in Qantas short-haul operations, forming the foundation of her evidence-based approach to managing fatigue risk.

Our office dog, best friend, and spirit animal.
She works hard, plays hard, and loves her footy (as you can see). Like most Australians, Kelpies are often overworked. It’s important to know how much is too much – and when to rest. It’s our responsibility to ensure this. We feel that’s a perfect metaphor for workplace fatigue as well.
